ROLE: Junior Software Engineer

LOCATION: Rome

DEPARTMENT: ICT Department

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

You are a strongly motivated professional willing to grow in an international Group offering interesting development perspectives.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer of d’Amico Group and supervised by senior colleagues, you will be closely cooperating with the entire ICT team based in four different locations worldwide.

Your specific responsibilities will cover:

  • Supervise and monitor the correct functioning of existing applications, used both by the various company offices and on board the ship
  • Support operational departments in analyzing requests for applications and technologies
  • Design and coordinate, through the management of external suppliers, customizations and/or the development of new software systems functional to the business
  • Collaborate with external suppliers, directing the correct design and monitoring the testing of these applications
  • Direct and manage the activities of external suppliers also for the resolution of any problems relating to the software
  • evaluate new systems on the market and make recommendations on their upgrade, where applicable, to keep them abreast of evolving technologies

 

EXPERIENCE AND RELEVANT SKILLS

  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a consulting company
  • Fluency in English and Italian is a must
  • Knowledge of web server infrastructures
  • Knowledge of Window Server environments
  • Required MCTS Certification (.NET) - SQL is an added advantage
  • Highly motivated, flexible, proactive and able to work independently
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Availability to travel either to other Group’s offices or on board d’Amico vessels (domestic and international locations)
